Before you begin, you can choose from several different ships. Each ship has its own unique weapon. Weapon types vary between machine gun, rockets, and some kind of sonic boom weapon. Weapons can be upgraded 3 times by picking up crates dropped by boss enemies. You spawn in and have to defeat ever increasing waves of enemies. There are ships who seek you out and try to shoot you, ramming ships, and larger capital type ships. Asteroids fly through the map and can kill both you and your enemies. Enemy AI is kinda bad. Ships will fly directly towards you as soon as they spawn. They will fly directly into asteroids to try and get to you. I tried to use my Xbox controller, but it was very glitchy. It worked for about a minute before the ship constantly flew to one side of the map and then the game crashed. Mouse control is better, but I feel like it could be a lot smoother. The game does feature a leader-board, which is pretty cool. After about 20 minutes of playing, I was 2nd on the leader-board.Overall, I'd wait until the Dev does some polishing\/bug fixing. Hard to justify right now for over $2.. Great little twin stick shooter, controls are precise and the weapon variety between ships lets you find your own favourite play style. Thumping chip-tuney EDM soundtrack and the pulsating lower-poly debris lend a charming atmosphere to the whole thing. Game has already seen two major point releases since launch which have already seen imrpovements from small tweaks like upping spawn rates in the early game, to impressive new mechanics like unique secondary abilities for the ships. Well worth the couple of bucks! Impressive first outing for this young studio. Excited to see what the future holds for this game and future titles from Guy Bits.. I usually am not into these sort of games, but i found after playing this game for awhile it gets addicting of trying to beat your personal score and even get better higher on the leaderboard (which i think is a sign of a good game). and the variety of the ships do keep it interesting with seeing if a different ships can change your strategy around to get that higher score. also i like that when you do get a higher score and pushed up the leaderboard you are told so with a +1 which i think is satisying. The movement of the enemy ships (and comets which a nice addition to challenge and strategy) are fair and if you get killed you always seem to blame not the game but yourself and not being able to dodge.Few things i would like to see added in to just give some extra spice would be: a individual ship leaderboard and or a ship icon next to the leaderboard player names to see what ship they used to get the score, just a base control or info on ability screen when choosing a ship (like an information tab)All in all i think this game is good and glad to see it getting more updates to improve it and look forward to seeing and playing more of it.. Pretty fun game overall, plently of ship choices and gun upgrades to keep it interesting and trying new ones each game. Controls were a little confusing in the beginning but once working it out, it all flowed on pretty nicely from there. The recent updates to the game have made it much more user friendly and a bit easier to begin now with shields and more on screen view. Looking ahead to the future of this game I'm looking forward to some pvp action with\/against from friends. It has a ladder board with all players that have ever done a game so its really fun to try and beat your own record and everyone else that has every played it.I definietly recommened this game for something to play in your down time and to try and reach the top of the point ladder board!. A fun spaceship shooter that keeps your reflexes sharp in hope of reaching that number one spot on the highscore board. The game has been receiving updates adding abilities to your ships and tweaking wave spawns keeping the game in line with its fast paced nature. Soundtrack definetly suits with electronic beats that sync with the in game background graphics making a immersive and hectic time trying to dodge and destroy. With co-op and pvp on the road map im pretty keen to see what this has in store for us.. Full disclosure, I'm friends with the developer of this game and do not write a lot of reviews so this may be a little all over the place. That being said, when I first picked up this game, it was primarily with the intention to support my friend. I'm not usually one to play many of these small cheap games. However I found that after I purchased this game, it's actually really damn fun. So far I've put about 5 hours into it, so as far as value for money goes, it's awesome, best $3 i've ever spent. The mechanics that I found quite annoying at first, I realised are actually the reason I've kept playing, they keep the game challenging. I've also found that the game is particularly fun when you have friends playing it as well, trying to beat each others scores certainly keeps it interseting. Highly recommend this game, particularly if you're looking for something to do for 10 mins while waiting for a squad or party in another game!.
